Executive Managing Director, Global Head of Capital Raising

John Creswell joined Trez Capital in 2023. As Executive Managing Director, Global Head of Capital Raising, John oversees the firm’s capital raising strategy across all distribution channels, including institutional, retail, and private wealth throughout all global markets.

With over 20 years of experience, before joining Trez Capital, John served as Executive Managing Director at Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co., where he had global responsibility for business development, client service, marketing, and investment operations. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps in 2012, he worked for BNP Paribas Asset Management N.A., where he was responsible for business and corporate development. Before that, he spent twelve years at Nuveen Investments in several senior positions as the firm grew from a single asset class investment bank into a global investment management firm. Prior to his investment career, John was an auditor and management consultant for Ernst & Young in their Real Estate Group.

John earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University at Fullerton, a Master of Arts in Public Policy from The Claremont Graduate University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). John has performed business on six continents throughout his career, appeared on Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s.
