Michelle Marguet joined Trez Capital in 2020. As the Vice President of Marketing Communications & Brand Strategy, Michelle plays a crucial role in shaping the firm’s strategic brand direction. Leading Trez Capital’s marketing division, she is responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Trez Capital’s long-term business objectives. Her responsibilities include brand management, internal corporate communications, external communications, public relations and investor events. Her leadership ensures that the firm’s brand narrative resonates with stakeholders, reinforcing Trez Capital’s position as a market leader.
Michelle has over 20 years of experience in marketing communications, beginning her career in 2002 with a Canadian bank. She spent 15 years at Raymond James Ltd., focusing on institutional marketing and coordinating cross-border efforts with their parent company, Raymond James & Associates, in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Before joining Trez Capital, Michelle was a Principal at Eight Capital, where she oversaw corporate marketing and played a significant role in expanding institutional marketing and client programs across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Michelle received an Honours BFA from Ryerson University in 2005. She is an active member of Women in Capital Markets (VersaFi, formerly WCM), the International Society of Female Professionals (ISFP) and the American Marketing Association (AMA). She served as an Executive on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) from 2018 to 2024, where she remains a member of CIRI.
