Izzy Shakfa joined Trez Capital in 2026 and is responsible for direct investor capital raising initiatives and coverage of institutional investors, family offices and investment consultants.
Izzy brings over a decade of experience in private capital markets and real estate fundraising. Prior to joining Trez Capital, he was Director of Capital Markets and MENA Regional Head at Clifton Blake Asset Management, where he led institutional and high-net-worth (HNW) capital raising, fund structuring and investor relations across Canada and the Middle East. Earlier in his career, he held sales and capital markets roles at several Canadian investment firms.
Izzy holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Financial Economics from Western University and is completing his Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at Ivey Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level III candidate and holds several designations from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). Izzy is bilingual in English and Arabic.
