Alec Barry joined Trez Capital in 2019 and is responsible for U.S. Origination. He has more than 25 years of commercial real estate finance experience.
Before joining Trez Capital, Alec spent over 10 years at Simmons Bank (formerly Southwest Bank) in Fort Worth, Texas. As regional president, he was a top producer of the bank and managed a team that focused on real estate lending. Before his tenure at Simmons Bank, he gained nearly a decade of commercial real estate finance experience while serving as vice president for Frost Bank and Wells Fargo, respectively.
Alec completed the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking program – a partner of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Texas at Arlington, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Texas Christian University and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
He has served as a board member for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, a Capstone advisor at the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, finance chair for the YMCA of Arlington and as chairman of the Southwest Bank fundraising team for the March of Dimes.
