NEW YORK – July 29, 2021 – Trez Capital is pleased to announce that Ilir “Eli” Necaj has joined the company as vice president of origination and capital markets as part of the newly formed Real Estate Bridge Financing team. Necaj, based in the firm’s New York City office, will focus on all sectors across the United States including hospitality, multifamily and single-family, industrial, office, retail and self-storage. He brings extensive experience in originating and underwriting various commercial real estate finance investments, structuring and issuing fixed income securitized products, and providing capital markets solutions to institutional investors.
“Eli’s commercial real estate finance experience will be a strategic asset to our team and clients alike,” said Trez Capital’s Head of Bridge Lending and U.S. Capital Markets and Managing Director, Darren Esser. “His capital markets expertise along with his origination and underwriting background will be instrumental to our growth in the bridge loan space and will serve our customers and our company well.”
Prior to joining Trez Capital, Necaj most recently served as vice president at Centennial Commercial Finance Group, where he was tasked with the origination and underwriting of highly structured commercial real estate debt investments. Prior to Centennial, Necaj worked at Wells Fargo in the commercial real estate capital markets group, where he focused on the origination, structuring, closing, and asset management of the platform’s esoteric asset financing products as well as the structuring, securitization, and issuance of commercial mortgage-backed securities and collateralized loan obligations.

Necaj is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, and he received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Wesleyan University. While at Wesleyan, he won a gold medal at the National Invitational Rowing Championship as a rower on the crew team. He was also a member of the Economics Honor Society.
