Kyle Geoghegan joined Trez Capital in June 2021 with 27 years of experience originating and managing commercial real estate finance investments.
From 2006 until 2020, Kyle set up and co-managed the commercial real estate loan production operation for Resource Real Estate Funding, Inc. (“RREF”), a subsidiary of Resource America, which was purchased by C-III Capital in 2016. Kyle was responsible for all facets of transaction origination, structuring, closing, portfolio management, and strategic direction for the platform which originated over $6 billion during his tenure. RREF invested nationwide across all major property types including ground up construction loans, bridge loans, mezzanine, preferred equity, and permanent financing. RREF originated on behalf of Resource Capital Corp. (a NYSE traded public company) which fueled its growth with multiple secondary equity offerings, over $1 billion of bank line financing, and issuance of over $4 billion of CLO bonds during the period. Kyle has extensive experience working with rating agencies, master servicers and investors.
Prior to joining RREF in 2006, Kyle co-managed the Bear Stearns Commercial Mortgage office in Los Angeles, which he joined in 1998, and was responsible for origination of over $1 billion of loans annually for sale into the securitization market.
Previously, Kyle spent four years as a real estate loan officer at PNC Bank in Philadelphia where he originated and managed a $400 million portfolio of construction and bridge loans.
Kyle received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University where has was inducted into the Emory Sports Hall of Fame and selected for the All-Time 25 Year Team for his efforts on the basketball court. He completed his education with a Master of Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance.
