Eric Horie

Senior Managing Director, Head of Origination, Canada

Eric joined Trez Capital in January 2017 as Senior Vice President, Head of Origination. He is responsible for both leading the Canadian origination teams in and for sourcing commercial and multi-family mortgage loan and equity investment opportunities. Eric’s team originates, underwrites and structures lending transactions for Trez Capital’s various Funds.

Eric has over a decade of lending, underwriting and transactional experience, both in real estate and in diversified industry. Prior to joining Trez Capital, Eric was with BMO’s Commercial Banking Group where he held a variety of positions including leading a team of diversified industry lenders. Real estate transactional experience includes high leverage, construction, term, owner-user, syndications and joint offerings with mezzanine lenders.

Eric holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He is actively involved in a number of charitable causes including the United Way and the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
